Late October Activities

Samantha went with a friend, Emma, to the Fall Festival at her church. She had a blast participating in all the activities. She even had a parrot painted on her face.

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

On Tuesday, October 21st Samantha's class took a trip to the pumpkin patch in Bullard. This past Thursday a picture from their trip was included on the front page of the Houston County Courier. How cool is that?

Samantha has asked several times for an i-pod.  Jeff loaded "her music" onto a similar product.  Now she puts on the headphones, turns it on and sings her heart out.

Saturday, October 4th the Jordan School PTA hosted its 2008 Fall Festival.

The extended family gathered Saturday, September 27th to celebrate the September and October birthdays.

Samantha's Haircut

On Saturday, September 20th Samantha and I had our haircut. Mine was just a trim of the usual but Samantha had several inches taken off. Here is the result.

Samantha's Birthday Part 3

On Saturday, July 12th, Samantha and her friend, Grayson, shared a swimming party. Mimi and PawPaw were in attendance along with cousin/best friend Kylie. The theme was dogs and cats - Pink Poodle and Hello Kitty.

July 8th started with even more snuggles, hugs and kisses for Samantha. Breakfast for the birthday princess was made-to-order omelete.

We allowed Samantha to open a few gifts.

We took cupcakes for Samantha to share with her friends at school. For supper, Samantha requested crab legs but her excitement about opening present dampened her appetite.

Samantha's Birthday

On Saturday, July 5th we met with family at Mr. Gatti's to celebrate the birthday of Samantha and Kylie. We were thankful for those that were able to attend and missed those who weren't able to join us.

Just a couple of recent photos of Samantha. The glasses need no explanation. In the others I tried to document her after playing with sidewalk chalk.

Since I wasn't able to be with my dad today, Samantha and I went to Hunstville yesterday, bearing Father's Day gifts. We were also able to take him to lunch, along with Mom, Linda, Kylie and Carson.

Pops, thank you for all the oil changes and other auto repairs, time spent tossing the softball, silver dollar pancakes and driving lessons. Thank you, too, for all the books you've read to Samantha and the manner that you love and care for her. I'm thankful that you are a part of our lives, still watching out for us.

Pool fun

Jeff bought a pink (is there any other color?) pool on Friday. Here is a short video of Samantha having fun.
